Simply task . There is two columns with mutually non-overlapping data in cells:
We need to combine the data from the two columns into one (i.e. for further calculation, etc.) We may think about formulas, macros but exist simple and graceful approach.
Select the cells in the second column and, clicking right button, select command Copy (or press hotkeys Ctrl+C).
Select the cells in the first column and, clicking right button, select command Paste Special. You can use also hotkeys Ctrl+Alt+C. In the opened window of parameters of Paste Special choose flag Skip blanks and press ОК:
The copyed data from second column were inserted into the first one. At the same time blank cells from the second column were skipped during pasting and don't touch values from the first column. Will remain remove the second column and all:
Simply and effective, isn't it?
