Fill cells with their formatted value

Number > Fill cells with their formatted value

This utility replaces the contents of selected cells with their formatted values.

For example, if you have a cell with the value «384216938» and with formatting «000 - 000 00 00» , then it will be displayed as «038 - 421 69 38» .

By using this tool, the numerical value «384216938» will be replaced with a text value «038 - 421 69 38» .

This can be useful when you export data using a file. Excel (Calc) , because often an external program reads the values in the cells, ignoring their formatting.
