Writing a number or amount in words

Number > Spell/write out numbers or amounts

This utility converts numbers to words in selected cells.

For example, the number "12,75" is written in English words with US dollars, that is, it becomes: "Twelve Dollars and Seventy Five Cents" .

You can write numbers as digits or as an amount (for use on a check, for example).

By default, there is no currency (it will be a number in words). You can choose between dollars, euros, or you can also enter another currency.

If a number contains more than two decimal places, this function will write the number as if it were rounded to two decimal places.

Running this tool

Click YLC Utilities > Number > Spell/write out numbers or amounts :

How much time will this save?

Using this tool will definitely save you time and effort. However, the actual time savings will depend on how often you use it. Excel (Calc) , the amount of data you work with, and how often you use this tool.

You can use the utility Spell/write out numbers or amounts by installing the extension YLC Utilities .

After that, this function will be available in all files that are opened in Excel (LibreOffice Calc) .
