Import exchange rates from the National Bank of Romania website

NBRO() Description

The function NBRO() is designed to automatically obtain the value of the official rate of the Romanian lei directly from National Bank of Romania website (bnro.ro) by the specified code and date.

The NBRO function makes working with exchange rates much easier, especially for those who work with finances or keep records in different currencies. Instead of manually entering rates, you can simply use this function to get up-to-date data.

Also, you can use "Official Currency Exchange Rates" tool , which inserts the exchange rate for selected cells in one click.

Syntax:

=NBRO(CurrCode; CurrDate)

Parameters:

• CurrCode: The letter code of the currency for which you want to get the rate.
• CurrDate: Date of currency exchange rate setting.

Example Usage

The NBRO() function is easy to use. You just need to enter the currency code and date into the appropriate cells of the formula, and Excel will automatically receive the current exchange rate:

=NBRO(CurrCode; CurrDate)

This example uses the following values:

• CurrCode: A2 - letter code of the US dollar ("USD") .
• CurrDate: D1 - date of course establishment ("01.03.23") .
