CLEANTEXT() Description

The CLEANTEXT() function is designed to clean text of all characters except letters.

Syntax:

=CLEANTEXT(Text)

Parameters:

• Text: The text that needs to be cleaned of non-letter characters.

Example Usage

The CLEANTEXT() function is easy to use. You just need to enter any text and Excel will automatically clear it of all characters except letters of the alphabet:

=CLEANTEXT(Text)

We will have the following result:

This example uses the following values:

• Text: A2 - Text to clear ("Invoice #100235 (21.05.23)") .
